Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process.
Hello! My name is Sky and I am so happy you are checking "meow-t" today! I was rescued from a colony when I was a tiny kitten, and was transported to the kind rescuers at Candy's Cats which is a big change from the scary start I had in life. I was a baby kitten darting in and out of traffic trying to find food with some other kittens and I am so lucky I am out of that dangerous place! I am a "love at first sight" kind of kitty. I love you at first sight! I start purring right away and love to play, be held, and head butt pretty much anyone I meet. I am not shy at all. I am also silky soft, with beautiful tortoiseshell markings, and big, hazel eyes that melt hearts everywhere I go. I love to play, but not in an annoying way, and I am also very cool just relaxing on my own if my family is at work or busy. I love hammocks and sleep in my little hammock whenever I can. It's so fun to "hang out" and watch the birds from the window or catch up on my zz's for a nice daytime nap. My foster mom has fostered over 50 cats in the past 4 years and she wants everyone to know I am in her top 3 of all time. That is how special I am. She would keep me if she could, but she already has many of her own cats and thinks I deserve a home with lots of attention so my love can be shared with a family who is looking to give their hearts and home to me. I promise you, I'll love you right back. I have so much love to give. My happy little rescue story only has one more chapter to tell...the purrfect ending where I am adopted and taken home to be loved forever and ever! Are you the family I've been waiting for?
Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable kitties. All of our kitties are fully vetted (age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, and they are microchipped.) They live in private foster homes with their foster families. Our adoption fees are $75 - $125. In order to match the best home for our foster kitties, we ask folks to complete our adoption application in advance; simply go towww.candyscats.org/forms. You will need to register on our site, then fill out an Adoption Application. We'll review your information and get back in touch with you. Cats are not adopted first-come, first-served, but rather the best home for the kitty, but we do give consideration to the folks who take the time to fill out the application in advance. Almost all of our volunteers work during the week; to be able to meet one of our cats by appointment during non-adoption days (Saturday, 11 - 4, Sunday 12 - 4), your application needs to be filled out in advance and approved by our adoption coordinator prior to scheduling an appointment to meet with the cats.
