Candy's Cats

Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process. 

MEET CASPER formerly CCI Chatter. Through no fault of his own this extremely handsome kitty had to be returned to CCI because his adopter can no longer keep him due to a traveling employment position. His daddy loves him very much and is hoping to find the best possible new home for him.

Casper, also known as, the snow floof, is a loving white-haired blob that goes crazy for someone to pet him. Some say he has a foot fetish, so if wiggling feet are left unattended his ears may rub against your feet. At night he will hop up on the bed to snuggle; all 15 pounds of floof. He may be skittish at first, as it may take a bit for him to get used to the new environment. He doesn’t really like dogs all that much, but gets along well with other cats. He receives medication for his left eye, but otherwise he is healthy and uses litter box with no issues. He is very loved in his current home, but with work travel schedule, it will become difficult and not fair to him. Please find a good home for him!

Casper instructions:
• He eats 1/4 cup of food twice a day
• Two eye drops in left eye once a day
• Hang your feet out while sitting for him to rub his head against 
• Love him

Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable kitties. All of our kitties are fully vetted (age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, and they are microchipped.) They live in private foster homes with their foster families. Our adoption fees are $75 - $125.

In order to match the best home for our foster kitties, we ask folks to complete our adoption application in advance; simply go to www.candyscats.org/forms. You will need to register on our site, then fill out an Adoption Application. We'll review your information and get back in touch with you.

Cats are not adopted first-come, first-served, but rather the best home for the kitty, but we do give consideration to the folks who take the time to fill out the application in advance. Almost all of our volunteers work during the week; to be able to meet one of our cats by appointment during non-adoption days (Saturday, 11 - 4, Sunday 12 - 4), your application needs to be filled out in advance and approved by our adoption coordinator prior to scheduling an appointment to meet with the cats.
