Tortoiseshell / Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Senior : : Large
Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process.
This beautiful girl has been through so much. She was adopted from CCI and a few years later was dumped at the Orange County Animal Services. Upon checking her microchip they contacted us and we of course brought her back to help find her another home. She was adopted again and much to our dismay, we have now rescued her again as she was again dumped, this time at Seminole County. Thankfully we were contacted again and she is now back with us in a safe and loving foster home. She does not have the torti personality at all - no attitude. She's affectionate and friendly, great with people and other cats and children. Oreo does not play. She likes to cuddle on the couch in the mornings then pretty much she hides beneath the couch for the remainder of the day. She is very quiet. We have never heard her meow. She is not alpha. She is very very chill.
Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable kitties. All of our kitties are fully vetted (age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, and they are microchipped.) They live in private foster homes with their foster families. Our adoption fees are $75 - $125. In order to match the best home for our foster kitties, we ask folks to complete our adoption application in advance; simply go to www.candyscats.org/forms. You will need to register on our site, then fill out an Adoption Application. We'll review your information and get back in touch with you. Cats are not adopted first-come, first-served, but rather the best home for the kitty, but we do give consideration to the folks who take the time to fill out the application in advance. Almost all of our volunteers work during the week; to be able to meet one of our cats by appointment during non-adoption days (Saturday, 11 - 4, Sunday 12 - 4), your application needs to be filled out in advance and approved by our adoption coordinator prior to scheduling an appointment to meet with the cats. Thank you once more for your interest in our wonderful cats; we hope we can find one that is the perfect fit for you and your home.
