Ragdoll / Mixed (long coat) : : Female (not spayed, but will be before adoption) : : Medium
Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process.
Hi, I'm Matilda, a gorgeous ragdoll, and here's the story on how I got my name. "The Algonquin Hotel in New York City keeps a Ragdoll in its lobby. This tradition of keeping a cat dates to the 1930s; males are named "Hamlet" and females, "Matilda." The current Matilda is an 11-year-old female Ragdoll from Villaroyal Ragdolls who strolls the lobby and sweetly greets guests from her position on the front desk. She was recently named cat of the year at the Westchester Cat Show in Westchester County, New York. Matilda has a signature cocktail in the hotel bar; her likeness is on a children's book and Christmas ornament." Isn't that interesting?
Anyway, I was scheduled to be euthanized, just a few hours from death when my foster mommy rescued me and saved me. I can be seen at the Petco located on Bumby Avenue and E. Colonial Drive in Orlando. Matilda will be available for adoption after 3/8, so please, complete an adoption screening form online and we will take requests in the order in which they are received. She does not like other animals and would need to be the only kitty around. More about MatildaIs Not Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats |
