Candy's Cats

Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process. 

Carissa it is very sweet, loving cat who was abandoned when she became pregnant. She gave birth to her 4 kittens Keegan, Gypsy, Arianali and Lorelei under a school portable. She is an excellent mom, as she protected her kittens during very cold and rainy nights and care for them without any food herself. When a volunteer was alerted that there were kittens on campus, this mother cat was so hungry that she came out from under the building crying in hopes of being fed. She is an absolute sweetheart who wants to be loved. She deserves a much better life than the beginning she had.

She is cautious and shy at first, but she is very smart and will come around when she knows she is safe and loved. She is an excellent mom, when she hears one of her kittens meowing or hissing - she puts herself in front of kittens to protect them.  It is amazing and inspiring to see her behave like that. We hope you will give her a try and maybe even take one of her first and only litter along with her into your family.
