Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process.

Did you know that black cats are the least adopted cats, just because they are black?? Did you know that in most cultures the black cat is considered to be GOOD luck? I know I'm lucky to be Maple's foster Mommy, and I hope you're the lucky one who gets to be her forever home!
Maple is a very sweet kitty who needs a lot of TLC. She's rather petite! She is very hesitant about humans, she's not sure if they are mean or nice, because sometimes they look so big and scary when they walk around, but when they sit down and she walks up they give such wonderful pets!! She has never known the love of humans until recently, so she's still trying to figure us out. She hides a lot, but if you're sitting around watching TV out trots little Maple wants as many pets as you could possibly give. She'll nuzzles your hand and jump up and bump your leg to remind you, "Hey! I love pets! Please give me more!". She does not like being held, she gets very scared, but she wants to be near you and get pets.
She is never aggressive, has never scratched or bit. She would make a wonderful cat for someone who has patience and love to give. I can tell that with time she'd become very attached to stable, quiet owner who has a hand ready to give lots of pets! She has the biggest eyes that just look up at you and beg "Love me!"
She gets along fine with her foster siblings but it's important she not be around cats who might accidently bully her, she's very submissive and it would upset her greatly to always be scared. She'd probably be scared of dogs and small children, but in the right setting where there is a consistent boundary and feeling of safety given to her, I think she could flourish!!!
