This Raisin doesn’t come in a little red box, but she’s more than ready to be chosen by you. Raisin is a quiet female kitten with a gorgeous black coat. You will be amazed how soft she is when you pet her. Raisin was the largest kitten of the litter. Her brother, Fig, who is also available for adoption, was the runt. He no longer looks like the runt and they make quite a handsome brother-sister pair. They were born under a portable on a school campus with their other litter mates who have already been adopted. Raisin says you are worth the wait! Raisin has made so much progress. She used to hide because she was scared. Fig would often check on her and be by her side. Fast forward to now: She checks out who’s entering the room, enjoys being petted and even held for short periods of time. After that, she’s ready to observe her surroundings from her cat tree. Her brother, Fig, is her constant companion. Raisin enjoys grooming him....and Fig enjoys the spa treatment! Raisin would love to be adopted with Fig into an experienced cat household—older children only, please. She will need a kitty playmate and since she and Fig bonded when they were teeny tinies, they truly are a perfect pairing. |

Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process.
Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable kitties. All of our kitties are fully vetted (age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, and they are microchipped.) They live in private foster homes with their foster families. Our adoption fees are $75 - $125. In order to match the best home for our foster kitties, we ask folks to complete our adoption application in advance; simply go to www.candyscats.org/forms. You will need to register on our site, then fill out an Adoption Application. We'll review your information and get back in touch with you. Cats are not adopted first-come, first-served, but rather the best home for the kitty, but we do give consideration to the folks who take the time to fill out the application in advance. Almost all of our volunteers work during the week; to be able to meet one of our cats by appointment during non-adoption days (Saturday, 11 - 4, Sunday 12 - 4), your application needs to be filled out in advance and approved by our adoption coordinator prior to scheduling an appointment to meet with the cats.
