Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process.

Meet Loyola!  She was dumped at a vet with her litter of six kittens that were only (3) days old.  The person just dropped them off in a box and then jumped in their car and drove away.  A CCI foster made room for (7) more and took them all in.  Loyola was a young, but good mommy and took great care of the kittens.  The kittens have all been adopted now and Loyola is looking for her furever home. Loyola is likely of Maine Coon decent as she has recently blossomed and came into this beautiful coat and mane.  She gets along well with her foster brothers, but doesn't do well with other female cats.  We don't know her history and it took time to build trust.  Now she looks for attention and likes to be petted. She will sit near her foster mom, and sometimes on her lap, and purr. Since she seems to be an Alpha, we suggest a home where she can be the only cat or with one or two male cats and no small children. Let us know if you would like to make Loyola part of your family!

She does not do well at our adoption events as she is very scared so she would do best with a private meet and greet and needs an adopter who will patient and give her a chance to come around.

Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable kitties. All of our kitties are fully vetted (age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, and they are microchipped.) They live in private foster homes with their foster families. Our adoption fees are $75 - $125.

In order to match the best home for our foster kitties, we ask folks to complete our adoption application in advance; simply go to www.candyscats.org/forms. You will need to register on our site, then fill out an Adoption Application. We'll review your information and get back in touch with you.

Cats are not adopted first-come, first-served, but rather the best home for the kitty, but we do give consideration to the folks who take the time to fill out the application in advance. Almost all of our volunteers work during the week; to be able to meet one of our cats by appointment during non-adoption days (Saturday, 11 - 4, Sunday 12 - 4), your application needs to be filled out in advance and approved by our adoption coordinator prior to scheduling an appointment to meet with the cats.

Thank you once more for your interest in our wonderful cats; we hope we can find one that is the perfect fit for you and your home.
