Candy's Cats

Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process. 

Meet Bumble! Bumble was found in March 2018 by one of our former volunteers in the Pine Hills area of Orlando. She believes that she was being abused by some young people outside in the area she was in. She was able to trap her and CCI took her in. Once Bumble was safe and settled she was taken to the vet to be checked out and she was found to be pregnant. Bumble gave birth to 4 beautiful kittens 0n 4/29/18. When she was done nursing her kittens, she and her kittens were transferred to another foster home where the kittens were socialized and then all put up for adoption. All were quickly adopted, leaving Bumble on her own. After more visits to the vet, it was determined that sweet Bumble was deaf. She acts like any other kitty, you just cannot call for her. In her current new foster home we found that she does not like other kitties and would be best as a single pet without cats, dogs or children, just someone to be around to love and care for her. 

Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable kitties. All of our kitties are fully vetted (age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, and they are microchipped.) They live in private foster homes with their foster families. Our adoption fees are $75 - $125.

In order to match the best home for our foster kitties, we ask folks to complete our adoption application in advance; simply go to www.candyscats.org/forms. You will need to register on our site, then fill out an Adoption Application. We'll review your information and get back in touch with you.

Cats are not adopted first-come, first-served, but rather the best home for the kitty, but we do give consideration to the folks who take the time to fill out the application in advance. Almost all of our volunteers work during the week; to be able to meet one of our cats by appointment during non-adoption days (Saturday, 11 - 4, Sunday 12 - 4), your application needs to be filled out in advance and approved by our adoption coordinator prior to scheduling an appointment to meet with the cats.
