Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process.
Meet Magic! This tiny 3-4 wk old little guy definitely had a stroke of luck as he was found on 2/25/18 in the parking lot of the Hampton Inn on Palm Parkway in Orlando. A wonderful couple coming into town from out of state to visit Magic Kingdom pulled into the parking lot late at night after driving straight through. They almost ran over him! It was raining and they waited for the mama cat to come back. They saw her come back and she took two of her other kittens so they waited to see if she would come for him. To no avail, they waited 3 long hours for her but she never returned for him. The wonderful woman who works in cat rescue in her state just could not leave this baby on it's own. She took it into the hotel got it warm and dry and calle Candy's Cats first thing in the morning. Magic is now safe and sound in a loving foster home and will be up for adoption in a short while. Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable kitties. All of our kitties are fully vetted (age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, and they are microchipped.) They live in private foster homes with their foster families. Our adoption fees are $75 - $125. In order to match the best home for our foster kitties, we ask folks to complete our adoption application in advance; simply go to www.candyscats.org/forms. You will need to register on our site, then fill out an Adoption Application. We'll review your information and get back in touch with you. Cats are not adopted first-come, first-served, but rather the best home for the kitty, but we do give consideration to the folks who take the time to fill out the application in advance. Almost all of our volunteers work during the week; to be able to meet one of our cats by appointment during non-adoption days (Saturday, 11 - 4, Sunday 12 - 4), your application needs to be filled out in advance and approved by our adoption coordinator prior to scheduling an appointment to meet with the cats.
