Candy's Cats

Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process. 

Levi (formerly known as Parfait) was rescued in October 2016 with his mama, and 2 siblings from the McDonalds in Apopka.

Levi was a handsome kitten, a smidge shy, but curious, loaded with charm, loving, and playful. He was quickly adopted in December of that year.

What no one realized at the time of his adoption, was his deep fear of dogs. His family hoped that Levi would adapt, and  eventually  learn to trust his doggie brother. The dog was never aggressive toward Levi, but unfortunately Levi’s fear only escalated.

It was with broken hearts that Levi’s family made the decision it would be in his best interest to be returned to Candy’s Cats.

Change is really difficult for adult kitties. As you would expect Levi was sad, and scared in a new environment. He loved his family, and just didn’t understand.

Slowly, but surely, Levi is coming around, learning to trust, and relax. 

It should go without saying, but in case it hasn't been noticed, Levi is a gorgeous Lynx-point Siamese mix, with the most exquisite blue eyes.  Since his return to us, we have learned that he is a sweet, and gentle soul. He loves to be petted, and brushed. For the first time in 3 years, Levi is also enjoying the company of other cats.

What we are confident of, is with a family that appreciates his shyness, and has the patience to let him adjust at his own pace, he will blossom into the kitty he was meant to be.

Levi has been fully vetted, FeLV and FIV negative, current on his vaccinations, microchipped, and ready to find his new home.

As mentioned before, he is deeply afraid of dogs, large and small, so his new home must be dog-free. We would prefer he have a kitty companion(s), but we will also consider a home where he would be an only child.
