Candy's Cats

Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process. 

Barley is a sweetheart of a kitty, with allergies.  He is simply a love of a kitty.  He's a total lap kitty, drools when you pet him, and so mellow with other cats and kittens.  Nothing seems to bother him, except whatever he may be allergic to, which is beef, soy and brewer's yeast, fleas and mosquitos.  All are managed.  He has allergies to certain grasses so he does not need a porch to go out on. Currently, he gets baths at the vet's office (which can be done at home.) Barley loves catnip and playing with toys, especially a laser light.   He is the type of cat that blends with everyone, easy to get along with a mellow dog, other cats.  There isn't an aggressive bone in his body, other than chasing laser lights.  We use Cat Attract litter for him since regular clay, clumpable, walnut litter seems to irritate his paws.  Barley can be visited in his foster home by appointment since taking him to the store stresses him out, causing him to flare (scratch, itch, lick).  Barley is an absolutely amazing cat and deserves a wonderful forever home. To speed up the adoption process, please click the link above, Adoption Information, then click Adoption Forms, which will take you to the screen for the Adoption Application. We do not adopt on a first-come, first serve basis but rather we adopt our cats to their new families according to the best fit for the cat.
