Tuxedo / Domestic Short Hair (short coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Adult : : Medium
Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process.
Meet Dancer and Dasher now named Louie & Triton. Louie has 4 white paws and one spot on his chest. They were rescued as kittens with their 3 siblings in 2013 and were adopted out as a bonded pair in January of 2014. Unfortunately, through no fault of their own, they were returned to us due to the fact that their mama has developed a pretty severe allergy to them and doctors have advised her that she should consider rehoming them as soon as possible due to becoming sick so often. The last thing she wanted to do is rehome these two because they are literally her babies and she loves them with all of her heart, but it's just not possible for her to keep them at this time. When adopters sign our adoption papers the agreement states to return the kitties to Candy's Cats if ever found that one could no longer care for the adopted kitties any longer. We are so grateful she did as now we can make sure they get a second chance of a loving, furever home. They are sweet and get along with other cats and dogs.
Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable kitties. All of our kitties are fully vetted (age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, and they are microchipped.) They live in private foster homes with their foster families. Our adoption fees are $75 - $120. In order to match the best home for our foster kitties, we ask folks to complete our adoption application in advance; simply go towww.candyscats.org/forms. You will need to register on our site, and then fill out an Adoption Application. We'll review your information and get back in touch with you. Cats are not adopted first-come, first-served, but rather the best home for the kitty, but we do give consideration to the folks who take the time to fill out the application in advance. Almost all of our volunteers work during the week; to be able to meet one of our cats by appointment during non-adoption days (Saturday, 11 - 4, Sunday 12 - 4), your application needs to be filled out in advance and approved by our adoption coordinator prior to scheduling an appointment to meet with the cats.
