Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process.
Wampa is a hunka hunka burning love. He’s a large, yet trim man-cat with the biggest paws you’ve ever seen. But don’t let his size fool you, he’s a lover, not a fighter. His favorite thing is to curl up in the lap of his person where he feels safe and loved. He will purr away while looking at you with his big dreamy eyes. He likes getting pets anyway he can get them. He’ll even roll over and allow you to pet his belly. He’s quiet but can be chatty when he’s ready for attention. He has been low key in his foster home, preferring a lap and pets over toys. One item of note is that he sometimes will try to get your attention by gently grabbing with his mouth. It’s very gentle, but maybe not the best for young children or someone that might scare from this. It’s just his way of saying, “hey, ready for some love here!”. Wampa was likely left behind when someone moved. He was being fed by several people for over a year before coming to Candy’s Cats. He had a couple of hiding spots, but would always come out immediately when one of his feeders stopped by to give him food and some love. But he was never comfortable outside, only eating when someone would watch over him for protection. Since being inside he has had no interest in going outside again and seems relieved to be inside for good. Everyone that meets him falls in love immediately. He’s just a gentle giant. We’ve yet to test him with other pets. His demeaner seems to be one that would indicate he will get along after a proper introduction – but again, this is untested.
