Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process.
I am a healthy Tabby cat, about 1 year old. I was found by my caring, loving foster mom the night of February 2nd. around 4:30 am, crying outside of her backyard. I was lost around the neighborhood of Darchance Rd. every night for more than two months, looking for a warm home and good people to save me from the outside.
•I am very friendly, charming and affectionate. •I like hugs and kisses, and love falling asleep and to cuddle in your lap because it makes me feel safe. •I am a good companion •I love to spend some peaceful and quiet time in the enclosed patio or porch, meditating •I don’t like to confront other cats, I don’t like to fight •I love science diet, healthy cuisine. Wet food •funny thing about me.... I constantly purr •the only two things that I am very afraid of & anxious about and I don’t stop crying, is if you put me in the cage or carrier, and lock me in a room or bathroom. It is going to take me some time to be an 100% domesticated cat. You just have to remember that I've never had a home before, so if I still feel a little scared of somethings inside of the house, please be patient with me, you won't regret it.
Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable kitties. All of our kitties are fully vetted (age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, and they are microchipped.) They live in private foster homes with their foster families. Our adoption fees are $75 - $125. In order to match the best home for our foster kitties, we ask folks to complete our adoption application in advance; simply go to www.candyscats.org/forms. You will need to register on our site, then fill out an Adoption Application. We'll review your information and get back in touch with you. Cats are not adopted first-come, first-served, but rather the best home for the kitty, but we do give consideration to the folks who take the time to fill out the application in advance. Almost all of our volunteers work during the week; to be able to meet one of our cats by appointment during non-adoption days (Saturday, 11 - 4, Sunday 12 - 4), your application needs to be filled out in advance and approved by our adoption coordinator prior to scheduling an appointment to meet with the cats.
