Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process.
Snapshot: Winter has been with a child and a large dog since he was 5 weeks old so we are looking for adopters who fill this criteria. **** Meet Winter! Gorgeous Winter was found outside alone as a tiny kitten by a family in Orlando. He was taken in and bathed and was to be their new kitty. He was taken care of, loved and nurtured but since he was inside their home the young daughter showed signs of possible allergies. After extensive tests and blood work through doctors and er visits it was confirmed she was highly allergic and it was recommended Winter be rehomed. He is very sweet, friendly, quiet and cuddly. He likes to play a lot! He enjoys looking out of windows and sometimes he will lay on the window sill. He likes treats and new toys. Winter has grown up with a large chocolate labrador retriever so Winter is can be in a home with a gentle cat friendly dog. He, however, has never been socialized with another kitty.
Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable kitties. All of our kitties are fully vetted (age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, and they are microchipped.) They live in private foster homes with their foster families. Our adoption fees are $75 - $125. In order to match the best home for our foster kitties, we ask folks to complete our adoption application in advance; simply go to www.candyscats.org/forms. You will need to register on our site, then fill out an Adoption Application. We'll review your information and get back in touch with you. Cats are not adopted first-come, first-served, but rather the best home for the kitty, but we do give consideration to the folks who take the time to fill out the application in advance. Almost all of our volunteers work during the week; to be able to meet one of our cats by appointment during non-adoption days (Saturday, 11 - 4, Sunday 12 - 4), your application needs to be filled out in advance and approved by our adoption coordinator prior to scheduling an appointment to meet with the cats.
