Contact Alani (JC) 12.13.16's Caretaker/Foster Directly: Joanna (jojocat001@yahoo.com) Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process.
Alani just might be a perfect cat. She's athletic and playful, affectionate and social. She greets her foster mom with a happy little trill and shakes her tail every time someone comes home. She loves to rub on your legs and show you how much she appreciates being cared for. She grew up fending for herself on the street, so her play style is very impressive! She stalks her toy mouse on a stick, waiting for the perfect time to pounce. Her pupils get very large and her body becomes so still, it is truly a remarkable sight to play with a cat as keen as Alani. She never misses! Even her foster brother will step back to let Alani show him how to play/hunt. Alani is a strong girl, but she gets along with pretty much anyone! She likes other cats, humans, and is not afraid of large dogs. She even rubs on her foster mom's 50 pound Australian Shepherd! Alani likes to sit in the window and watch the birds between her cat naps. She's content relaxing on her own, but if you want to hold her and snuggle with her, she's happy doing that, too! Alani is a beautiful young cat with a great personality. Her big, beautiful green eyes seem to show that she knows she's not living where she's supposed to live forever. She is curious to see what her future may hold, and we know that whoever is lucky enough to adopt Alani will have a wonderful feline family member for many treasured years to come.
Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable kitties. All of our kitties are fully vetted (age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, and they are microchipped.) They live in private foster homes with their foster families. Our adoption fees are $75 - $120. In order to match the best home for our foster kitties, we ask folks to complete our adoption application in advance; simply go to www.candyscats.org/forms. You will need to register on our site, and then fill out an Adoption Application. We'll review your information and get back in touch with you. Cats are not adopted first-come, first-served, but rather the best home for the kitty, but we do give consideration to the folks who take the time to fill out the application in advance. Almost all of our volunteers work during the week; to be able to meet one of our cats by appointment during non-adoption days (Saturday, 11 - 4, Sunday 12 - 4), your application needs to be filled out in advance and approved by our adoption coordinator prior to scheduling an appointment to meet with the cats.
