Candy's Cats

Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process. 

Catness certainly lives up to her name. She is a spunky, social, and vocal sweetheart who stood out from the crowd in an abandoned lot in Hollywood, Florida. Unlike her feral neighbors, Catness approached her rescuers purring, swaying her cute body, and hopped right into her rescuer's arms. She loves to be held and is very playful. She is also independent. She will play with you if you like, but she's also happy to relax by the window or on top of the cat tree. She has perfect manners and uses her scratching post and litter box like a very good girl. She gets along with other cats and does well with children, too! Her rescuers are so happy she is enjoying indoors life instead of struggling for her next meal in the hot Florida weather. Catness will gladly pay her rent in purrs, kneading, and a lifetime of unconditional love.

Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable kitties. All of our kitties are fully vetted (age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, and they are microchipped.) They live in private foster homes with their foster families. Our adoption fees are $75 - $120.

In order to match the best home for our foster kitties, we ask folks to complete our adoption application in advance; simply go towww.candyscats.org/forms. You will need to register on our site, and then fill out an Adoption Application. We'll review your information and get back in touch with you.

Cats are not adopted first-come, first-served, but rather the best home for the kitty, but we do give consideration to the folks who take the time to fill out the application in advance. Almost all of our volunteers work during the week; to be able to meet one of our cats by appointment during non-adoption days (Saturday, 11 - 4, Sunday 12 - 4), your application needs to be filled out in advance and approved by our adoption coordinator prior to scheduling an appointment to meet with the cats.
